In this part of our website we want to introduce the countries / regions that belong to our area of interest. The core area of our work includes the countries of Central Asia in the narrower interpretation, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan as well as the South Caucasus with Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
However, when introducing the countries, we also want to gradually introduce countries and regions that, in a broader sense, belong to the Central Asian / Caucasian cultural area. We want to start with the Republic of Tuva, since the Tuvan overtone / throat singers of the ALASH Ensemble are among our closest artistic contacts. More are to follow.
