The activity of the association targets the countries of Central Europe (Austria and its neighboring countries) on the one hand and the countries of Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan) and the South Caucasus (Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia) (hereinafter referred to as the “region”) on the other hand. In some cases, however, we will also include other countries in the cultural area between the Black Sea and Central Asia with their similarities and particularities (Turkey, Iran, North Caucasus, Afghanistan, Altai, Mongolia) in our activities.
Our field of activity is the exchange of information and contacts as well as events in all cultural fields including handicrafts in all their diversity. In addition to the rich traditional culture of the region, we also want to introduce the new and contemporary cultural scene and its actors and encourage cooperation and joint projects with local culture professionals.
The association is politically, ideologically and religiously independent.
