Nazokat Sobirova

She is located in Boysun, Province Surkhandarya / Uzbekistan.

The 24 years old Nazokat is a traditional weaver in the 6th generation. She studied her craft from her mother since she was 6 years old.

Today, it is important to her that the old patterns and motifs of her homeland are not lost. To save them from being forgotten, she goes from village to village, visiting women between the ages of 80 and even 107 to learn from them. Her knowledge is passed on to her students.
